Language World was selected as a key partner for California’s Medical Interpreter Pilot Project (MIPP), established through Assembly Bill (AB) 635, authored by former California State Senator Toni Atkins. The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) launched the study to evaluate measurable ways to improve medical interpreting services for Medi-Cal beneficiaries with Limited English Proficiency (LEP). As part of this important initiative, Language World was chosen to provide critical onsite interpreter services at the Los Angeles County pilot site in Culver City, a large multi-practice Federally Qualified Health Center.
